Our journey of exploration into the novelties unveiled during the Geneva Watch Days continues and now it’s the turn of discovering the brand-new Concept Watch presented by Corum, which holds the promise of opening a new chapter for the brand, catapulting it among the esteemed names in high watchmaking. We were lucky enough to be welcomed by the watch’s designer, who explained us in detail not only the watch itself but also the brand’s desire for a rebirth, starting with new forms and a young and dynamic team.
A new Concept Watch
The main idea for the creation of this Concept Watch was the sustainability. Ineed, all the main materials used to manufacture the watch come from recylced materials. Starting with the use of recycled grade 5 titanium for the case, also the strap comes from recycled fibers, as well as many components of the movement. Within the 39.5mm case inspired by Gentian shapes, the dial situated beneath the movement takes the spotlight. Crafted from aventurine stone, it evokes images of a meteor shower and allows the watch to gleam brilliantly under the sunlight.

Going on, the movement, designed from top to bottom, pays hommage to the design of the Bridge, a watch that left its mark on the Corum’s history, and its heart features a a flying tourbillon, with a cage shaped like the brand’s logo key. The guaranteed power reserve amounts to 90 hours. Lastly, sapphire bridges and plates further enable us to appreciate the beauty of the movement and dial in its entirety.
The design work on the back of the watch is equally impressive. An opening on the back with truly unique shapes allows the viewer to see the tourbillon, the mainspring and the gears train. Furthermore, some engravings are intended to explain to the fortunate owner of the watch what the functions of the components displayed on the caseback are.

Our thoughts, availability and prices
We were pleasantly surprised by this novelty presented by Corum, not only for its unique shapes and technical features of the movement but especially for the dial, which, when exposed to light, produces reflections that left us speechless. We hope we see Corum to continue on this path and reaffirm its position among the great names in watchmaking during this new chapter of its history.
Despite the new Corum Concept Watch wasn’t designed for commercialization but rather to mark a fresh restart for the brand, a limited number of pieces will be produced with a price tag of CHF 420,000.
